It is getting political. After the internet is used to campaign for the US presidential election and Obama showing the lead in adapting these new ways, US Democratic candidate Barack Obama is set to turn the iPhone into a political recruiting tool. Yes, it’s not a joke. I checked it myself for you.

The iPhone lost its virginity to the Obama camp. After You Tube, Facebook the mobile phone was next. Now what will the McCain camp do? Are they able to pull a similar app in time?

What can this app Obama for America do, you might wonder? On Obama campaign website blog said: “This tool is designed to help you become more directly involved in our campaign to change the country.”

I haven’t given it a try, but I thought you might want to know, since there are around 33 days left to really make use of this app. Obama for America is running on iPhone and iPod touch. Let’s see what the Republican campaign will come up with, but even more interesting will be what will all the other mobile phone makers, like Nokia, Samsung, LG, and so do.
