If you have a business and an iPhone, this app might be something you want to have a closer look at. I just read on springwise dot com about this need little app that turns an iPhone or iPod touch into a mobile credit card processing terminal.

Wherever you got an internet connection this app is ready to process charge card transactions.

The App is called Process Away and uses Authorize.net’s payment processing plattform.

Clients can use ProcessAway like a traditional charge card terminal: enter the amount, input the card number, expiry date and verification code, and process. There’s even a tip option for service businesses. Customers receive an email receipt for each transaction, and merchants can view transactions and process refunds on the fly.

The downside might be that a customer will be weary when there credit card details are punched into a phone, but ProcessAway stresses that it is a secure app and no data is stored on the phone itself and the program can not connect to anything else but the terminal.

This app is a great solution for small businesses starting out or who can not get a landline, it makes it possible to serve even more customers and clients.
