Can I Purchase An Iphone 3g Without Having To Purchase Phone Service?

Can I buy an iPhone 3G without purchasing a phone service plan so I can still use GPS, Notes, Calender, ETC.

	Well, I believe you can buy one at retail price, and it comes with GPS, but you can’t use GPS as it uses DATA, something that will cost without a data plan. If you have a data plan on your wireless service, then you SHOULD be fine, I think. Wait for further responses as the more I type, the more unsure I get. Sorry

	You can get one on ebay without a plan and is unlocked, but they’re going for over $800. The new Iphone has GPS, unlike the other person said. It sounds like perhaps you want an Ipod touch. Doesn’t have GPS I don’t believe, however it does a lot of other that the iphone does. Look into it, a lot cheaper than Iphone without a plan.

	Yes you can buy the iphone without contract i believe its $500 for 16gb and $600 for the 32gb from the iphone store.
