Can The Iphone 3g Install 3rd Party Applications?

If i download a game or application which is not from the itunes store, will it install and run properly on an iphone 3g?

Only if it’s been modified to allow it. Just straight out of the box, you cannot.
Only if you “jailbreak” it. You just run a program that takes about 2 – 3 minutes to install and is extremely easy, then after that your good to go! and after jailbreaking, two apps are installed into your iphone, cydia and installer, which offer great applications that other developers have which got turned down by apple (mms, video recorder, springboard customization).
