For instance, do I need internet connection at my house, or something like that. I am about to get an Iphone 3g and I don’t have internet connection at my house, but I have friends that do if that helps at all, and I don’t want to waste my money on one if I’m not going to be able to use it. Nope, you don’t need an internet connection at your house to use the 3G.
If you did have wireless internet at your house, you could use that WiFi signal to connect to the internet on you phone, but you can use it either way. The data plans from AT&T that you pick from when you get an iPhone will already include unlimited data (email/web), and then you’ll pick which text message plan you want.
The only thing that will potentially be frustrating when it comes to the iPhone and not having internet at your house is iTunes. For software updates (for both iTunes and iPhone) you’ll need an internet connection on whatever computer you use to sync iPhone. But that’s really just for the software updates and if you want to purchase music through iTunes on your home computer. Plugging the phone in and updating iPhone doesn’t require an internet connection.
