The day before you better get a tent and camp out.
There will probably be people camping out the night before. I’d say as early as you like. I would probably go to a store around 4AM with a friend or 2 for bathroom breaks and for someone to talk to. Also, when the first iPhone came out, they had a boat load in stock at the Apple Store to last about 2 weeks. As long as you go on the launch day, you’re definitely going to get one. The wait in line on the other hand, might be a bit of a wait.
