How Do I Change My Iphone 3g Carrier Logo When I Have No Service?

I want to know how i can change the logo so remember ipod touch and AT&T icon replacement WON’T work.I DO NOT have any type of phone service on it. It says no sim in the place of carrier i was wondering how i can change the logo on any firmware for iPhone 3g. Nobody seems to get that i DO NOT have AT&T or any other phone carrier

    Because it is a phone it will always say that there is no SIM. If you want to get rid of that message just find an old SIM card from AT&T that nobody is using any more and if it is a jail broken phone you may use software and tweaks to get rid of the logo. There is virtually no other way.I understand you have no service provider but it is a phone not an iPod and it was made to be used as a phone.
    Edit: Using MakeItMine without a SIM card will not work. An inactive SIM card will do the trick.
