Is There A Way To Destroy My Iphone 3g’s Battery Life So I Can Get It Replaced?

i have a 16gb iphone 3g, about a year old. part of it is broken that isnt covered by the warranty. i want to get it swapped without having to pay $300. simple solution: destroy the battery. anyone know how to do this without jailbreaking it?

    lol ummm you need to get a really data intensive app, full brightness, wifi on, without network coverage (so it is searching), full volume, and drain the battery down to ABSOLUTE ZERO. Now charge it and repeat the process over and over again. Soon the accumulator in your battery will die.

    Well im not sure you can do that, They would see the battery has been damaged. What you can do is take some alcohol and put a few drops inside the ports and connectors. That will mess em up. it sais if you are covered if it stopps working internally but there is no phisical damage. Also if you build up some static from a baloon or carpet and zap the circuit board. The board will get fried.
    But really you shouldnt try to wreck it. Contact apple, send it in, they will repair it instead of making you buy a new one.

    Plug the charger in and out a bunch of times in a row….by not letting your phone completely charge you are running the battery’s life lower and lower each time you do so….which in my opinion will eventually cause it to go out completely and for good. Hope I helped…I am only 12 but I think that might work try it …hee hee

    Do not put it in water, or any wet chemical, they will not replace it, it doesn’t come under the warranty if water damaged!
