I think you should be able to exchange it for a 16 GB just visit an apple store or call 1800-my-apple.

you can just return it and spend that money and then the extra 100 bucks on the 16 gb.

You can sell it to me as I want an 8gb iphone and then you can pay the balance and get a 16gb! (call 01212888583)
If not to me then you can sell it on ebay, pay the difference and get a 16gb iphone!

yep return it to the place purchased and let them know you just want the 16g. They can get you all taken care of … keep in mind the 10% restock fee for the iPhone.
