Airtel and Vodafone India launched iPhone of apple computers to their customers. But 3G services like UMTS HSPDA still blocked by Government of India. Then is there any point in buying iPhone 3G ?

Yeah,its like buying an air-conditioner when there’s no power.Most people are buying it because of the heavy advertising airtel and vodafone have done.Its all crazy,really.Personally,I think the iPhone is over-rated and over-hyped and totally not worth the price its being sold at right now.It offers very few things that I need.
Trust me majority of folks who buy Iphone are not intrested in its 3G capabilities but it looks and cool things you can do with it.. like expanding your photos.. Not to forget it is a major style statement and a status symbol..
3 G service is soon going to start in India so u can buy a 3G enabled phone but dont buy iphone 3G bcoz its not good
u can get 3G phone even below 10000 from Nokia
If you know it doesn’t work in India, why ask if you know it doesn’t work. Just don’t buy it, you would be wasting your money
