i have an iPhone 3G and i think the sim card is at the top of the phone, but i cant get it out!!!!! plz someone tell me how.
oh yea, and i’m going international this holiday, and i was wondering how to still use my iphone and not be billed excessively for data charges. i don’t want to get the international plan.
i heard that you can take the sim card out or switch it to airplane mode and it will not bill me.

to get the sim out, poke a paper clip into the pinhole at the top between the button and the headphone jack, the sim tray will pop out.
turn data roaming off and you will not have any international charges for data. you can still use wifi to get email and use the internet(your hotel will probably have wifi). you visual voicemail will not work, you will have to call in if you want to check your voicemail. you can also turn airplane mode on but then you can’t use the phone either.

I don’t think it works like that, dear.
