OK what are the advantages and disadvantages of jail-breaking iphone 3g?
and can i download app for free from the apple store if i jailbreak?

firstly – re the apple store, jailbreakin makes no difference. you still gotta pay for the apps that cost but you still can get the free apps for free

Look – I’ve done it and it’s great
You’re right, it gives you tons of great apps which are amazing and you can add themes to the springboard (home screen)
It’s not illegal wither if you’re worrying – the truth is you gave Apple $400 and now it’s yours – lol. They can’t stop you!
Sadly though it is true it breaks your warranty – however you can always delete any traces of a jailbreak in a restore of the phone – so apple would never know when you give it in to be serviced!
Overall I recommend it – and even if you mess up the jailbreaking steps of it – you can always restore it in iTunes and start again (that would be impossible to mess up though – it is INCREDIB|LY easy!)
