The iphone 3G is still in high demand across the US and Apple is doing some positive move towards customer happiness. We don’t want to question the motive behind, instead we give you the hard facts straight from the Apple website:

• All stores will now open at 8:00 a.m. every day but Sunday
• New staff is added to help in the pre-qualification process (which involves credit check, paperwork and other unknown things we assume)
• Customers will be prequalified to purchase while in line
• They will receive a claim ticket for an iPhone 3G (nickname “Golden Ticket” as in Willi Wonka )
• The ticket can be redeemed on the spot or 
• in case of an emergency like having to work, it can be redeemed the same day  by 6:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. on Sundays).

But this is not all before you even stand in line at one of the many Apple stores you should check the night before if you have any chance in getting one in the first place. No you don’t call the store and not Steve Jobs. Instead visit the Apple website and check store availability after 9 p.m. the night before you plan to visit the Apple store. Once you know they expect an unknown amount of iphone 3G we encourage you to check immediately  the weather report for that store location. Go to the Apple store right away to start the line or be one of the first, don’t forget to take the right weather wear.

All the effort Apple is showing right now are very helpful and show great concern for its customers. At the same time it suggests that the iPhone 3G shortage isn’t in danger of coming to an end any time soon.
