Am I able to buy the new 3g iPhone at the Apple store if I dont want to sign up for an 2 year contract? How many can I buy at once? Is there a limit to one per customer?

Yes, you can, but i am not sure if it’s still $199.
AT&T only offer the $199 price if you sign up with them.
According to the latest rumors, you will be able to buy a 3G iphone at an Apple Store without activating, but with a financial penalty.
Also, you won’t be able to activate the phone via itunes like you can with the current generation of iphones

So nope .. you have to have a contract with the purchase of that phone.
no. When you buy the new 3g iphone you need to activate them in the store. There’s no more taking them home and activating them through itunes. I guess if you want a family plan then you could buy more than one.
they will either make u activate it in store, or they will let u have 30 days to do it at home. if u don’t activate it within 30 days, u get a large fine.
