I got myself the iPhone app developer kit from Apple website. It was easy to download and easy to install on my Intel based Mac.
I download the free version. I like to use the new 3.0 version, but found you have to pay $99 to get it.
I am sure it might be worth, since there are so many new options and functions. Also it is possible to test the app on the iPhone or iPod touch itself – something I really miss nor having with the free version. Yet again is it worth the $99?

Apple gave a preview of the new iPhone 3.0 os software on Tuesday.
It announced over 100 new features are coming with the OS 3.0 once it will be ready for download.
Something so basic as copy and past is finally included in iPhone OS 3.0. This will give the iPhone or iPod touch a more computer like feel and will make lots of tasked much easier. Especially writing text and messages.
Bluetooth will be improving as well. It can be expected to have stereo, something other devices have as standard for years.

Apple announced the iPhone 3.0 software. It is expected to have a big stage start as iPhone 2.0 software had last year.
Apple named Tuesday 17 March at 10:00 am for the start.
