Will The Iphone 3g Or 3gs Ever Work With T-mobile’s 3g Data Network?

Published on 14 February, 2010 By Richard

I understand that there is this issue of various bandwidths with T-Mobile offering 3G service on the 1700 and 2100 MHZ and the iPhone only supporting the 1900 MHZ bandwidth.
So my question is, will it ever be possible with a software or firmware update or “hack” to actually allow the iPhone to work on T-Mobile’s 3G Bandwidth?
Don’t be afraid to get technical. Thank you.

Is It Possible For Iphone 3g To Ever Be Jailbroken?

Published on 10 August, 2009 By Richard

I am aware of the two year contract, the cancellation fee, and the ridiculously high monthly fee… But is it going to be possible to jailbreak the 3G iPhone someday, even if you lost the 3G speeds? I heard that because of the frequency the phone operates at t-mobile won’t be able to work with the new iPhone unlike its predecessor.
