I understand that there is this issue of various bandwidths with T-Mobile offering 3G service on the 1700 and 2100 MHZ and the iPhone only supporting the 1900 MHZ bandwidth.
So my question is, will it ever be possible with a software or firmware update or “hack” to actually allow the iPhone to work on T-Mobile’s 3G Bandwidth?
Don’t be afraid to get technical. Thank you.

is it safe to buy unlocked/jail broken iphone 3g S on ebay?
and was it worth the time and all the sweat you didn’t have to deal with?
Is at&t ever going to accept the prepaid plan fpr iphone 3g?
I am aware of the two year contract, the cancellation fee, and the ridiculously high monthly fee… But is it going to be possible to jailbreak the 3G iPhone someday, even if you lost the 3G speeds? I heard that because of the frequency the phone operates at t-mobile won’t be able to work with the new iPhone unlike its predecessor.
